ATL activities with social-distancing

During my summer in Atlanta, I have become very creative about different fun activities I can do with my friends while still social-distancing. Here are some of my favorites over the past month:

  1. Picnics!

I have had around four picnics so far. These are super easy to do as all you need is food and a blanket and good weather. My friends and I have gotten takeout from different local Atlanta restaurants such as Bar Taco and Dragon Bowl. I have had picnics at Emory, Georgia Tech, and Piedmont Park. You can also social-distance easily while having a picnic as you and your friends can sit on opposite sides of the blanket

2. Road Trips!

The only road trip I have done so far is to Lake Lanier (see post here!). It was about an hour away and my friend and I also had a small picnic here while playing with sparklers.

3. Hiking / Running

I love to hike and admire the Atlanta views. My favorite place to hike has always been Stone Mountain. My friend and I went there a few weeks ago and it was quite easy to social-distance. I have also gone on runs at Piedmont Park. However, it was slightly difficult to social-distance on the beltline.
