During these past few months of social distancing, I have found myself rediscovering old hobbies and learning new ones. Most of these hobbies are related to art or photography. Here is a list of hobbies that I have enjoyed:
- Capturing photos using my FujiFilm Instax Mini 11 Camera: I have always loved taking photos on my iPhone XS but this provided a whole new experience. I love how vintage the polaroid photos look. I have taken around 50 so far and I am hoping to put them all in a wall collage.
- Photoshop: As a student, I qualified for the Adobe Creative Cloud 7 day free trial. This past week, I have spent hours perfecting my skills and editing some of my travel pictures using Photoshop. It is very easy to use as the software includes many tutorials. Check out all my edits here: Photoshop Edits.
- Oil Pastel and Watercolor: As a kid, I was very interested in drawing and painting. However, as I got my busy this hobby got sidelined. I rediscovered how relaxing it is to just completely immerse myself in my art. I usually draw pictures of landscape. Oil pastels and watercolors can easily be found at retailers. Oil pastels can be a bit messy as it can stick to fingers while watercolors require brushes and specific watercolor paper.
- Embroidery: I also loved this hobby growing up. I actually stumbled upon this unopened embroidery kit a few weeks ago. I already know how to sew so applying these skills to embroidery was quite easy. I have made a few. To check out my oil pastel, watercolor, and embroidery work, click here.
