My Healthy Go-To Quarantine Snacks

During these months of social distancing, I have been very busy with online classes and also have started to live a more health lifestyle. I try to exercise every day by going on the treadmill for thirty minutes. I also maintain a healthy diet. Here are some of my healthy go-to quarantine snacks:

  1. Sweet Potato Chips

This is a great alternative to the classic potato chip brands such as Lay’s and Doritos. My favorite brand is Terra. Sweet Potato chips are not only taste but also nutritous.

2. Coffee Ice Cream

I don’t have a huge sweet tooth so I tend to stay away from flavors that have too much sugar. My favorite brand of Coffee ice cream is Häagen Dazs. Coffee ice cream doesn’t contain that much caffeine and it tastes incredibly creamy.

3. Berries

I absolutely love berries of all kinds. I frequently make fruit smoothies and acaí bowls. They are very easy to find at grocery stores and can be cleaned and washed easily. See my article Cooking my way through social-distancing for more about acaí bowl recipes.

4. Nuts

I absolutely love nuts. My favorites are pistachio, cashew and almond. Many grocery stores sell lightly salted jars of a combination of nuts. They provide a bunch of energy and make a really good mid-day snack.
