Junior Year Highlights

As my junior year comes to an end, I want to reflect on some of the best events that have happened. It has been a crazy and happy year and I am so grateful for everyone that was a part of it. Here are five events that truly made my year:

One of the most memorable events was the Georgia Tech Homecoming Football game. Since Emory does not have their own football team, my roommate and I went to the neighboring Georgia Tech. This was our first college football game and I absolutely loved it. There was so much excitement. I loved being able to see the school spirit and their schools traditions. I made me feel like I went to a large public university.

I have talked about Stone Mountain in many of my articles. However, I will remember this trip forever. I saw the most gorgeous sunset of my life at Stone Mountain. No sunset in Hawaii, Arizona or Italy could beat the magnificence of this. My roommate and I stood for a solid hour on top of the mountain to admire the jaw dropping view.

I have been to many concerts during my childhood such as Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Carly Rae Jepsen. I attended the Jonas Brothers Happiness Begins tour in November 2019 with my sophomore year roommate. We really bonded over our love for this band and we swore that if they ever got back together again, we would go. I remember listening to all their songs such as “SOS” and “Burnin’ Up” as a kid and watching all their Camp Rock movies. This was truly a special night for me.

For my 21st birthday, I invited my friends out to eat lunch at the famous Sundial Restaurant at the Westin. My entire birthday was such a miracle. It snowed for the first time in over a year in Atlanta. I had the most delicious lunch with all my closest friends at the restaurant with the most beautiful view in all of Atlanta. I felt so truly grateful and blessed.

I absolutely love makeup and learning more about what are the best products. This is why when the Glossier pop up opened at Ponce City Market, I was ecstatic. I have been a fan of this company for quite some time now and I love how all the products really promote an all natural look. I drove down to the pop up on their opening day and I absolutely fell in love. The pop up was so unique with their own experience room. I loved how the orders could be placed on an ipad and that we could try all the products.

I truly had the best junior year I could have asked for. The has been the best year yet and I hope that senior year is even better!
