What I miss the most about Atlanta

It has been almost two months since I moved back home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, I have been busy with online classes and catching up with friends through Zoom and Facetime. I am quite sad that my junior year will be ending in my house. I truly miss Atlanta very much. I actually have a whole page on my website dedicated to my life in Atlanta.

Here are some parts of Atlanta that I miss the most:

  1. Emory University

Attending Emory University was definitely the best decision I have ever made. I never thought that I would have to move 2000 miles away to discover my home. I have made lifetime friends, learned an invaluable amount from my amazing professors, and created memories that I will treasure for life. I missed the campus so much as well that I even did a virtual tour to help me relive some of my junior year days. I miss being able to come back to my apartment and talk to my roommates about our days.

2. Ponce City Market

This is by far my favorite place in all of Atlanta. It contains some of my favorite restaurants such as Minero, Jia, and Nine Mile Station. I also love browsing through the stores such as Anthropologie, Citizen Supply, and Madewell. From counting my parking tickets, I went to Ponce City Market about 10 times this past semester alone. This is my go-top place whenever I want a study break and it is the best place to just grab a bite and chill with friends.

3. Midtown Atlanta

This is the heart and soul of Atlanta. There is so much to do there from exploring Georgia Tech to the High Museum to the various restaurants such as Sweet Hut, Bar Taco, and Food Terminal. I love the excitement that the city brings.

I hope that I will be able to return back to my home in Atlanta very soon.
