With another week of social-distancing down, I have learned a lot of lessons. I haven’t left my house except for my daily runs in my neighborhood for the past month.
One of the lessons I have learned is to appreciate nature. The flowers in my front and back yard have been blooming and I love being able to go outside and admire and smell them. They have been the focus of my recent VSCO posts. During my runs, I love looking at the different foliages at the neighboring houses. It is also such nice weather right now in Scottsdale, Arizona so I have been doing much more outdoor activities such as sunset-watching and studying outside.
I have also learned the valuable quality time I have with my friends. I have weekly Zoom calls and Netflix Parties with them. We all have busy lives with online classes and finals coming up but we always make time to catch up with each other. We are all in different time zones and we make accommodations to be be able to all talk to each other at the same time.
In addition, this is the most time I have spent at home since college started. It is a very valuable time since my sister and I are all growing up and moving out the house soon. Once I graduate, the only time we will all be together will be for the holidays once a year.
