2019 has been a game changing year for me. I accomplished many things professionally, academically, and socially. However, I would not have ben able to do without the wonderful people in my life. Here are just some of the things I am thankful for in my life:
- My Family
No matter what happens, my family is always there for me. My parents will do whatever it takes so that my sister and I are happy and successful.
2. My Friends
I am super grateful to have such a support group of friends both at college and back home in Arizona. I love meeting with them and catching up as if no time has passed at all.
3. All of the opportunities I have had
I am super grateful to attend one of the best universities in the nation. Emory University has truly changed me and the way I view the world. I am super lucky to have met some of my best friends there and I have learned so much from such renowned professors. I am super fortunate to participate in clubs such as Outdoor Emory that foster community and friendship. My lab has also changed me for the better. I love the lab work that I am doing and I am lucky to have such supportive lab mentors that guide me.
4. My two homes: Atlanta, Georgia and Scottsdale, Arizona
I would not be half of who I am today without the influence of these two cities. Scottsdale will always be my home town and it was the foundation of my values today. Atlanta helped me become more independent and more comfortable in my own skin. It has helped me mature and taught me how to be an adult away from my parents.
