The college life is super busy with assignments, midterms, clubs, and social life. Even though this is the busiest semester of college yet, I am definitely the happiest I have been. I have matured a lot and learned a lot of hard lessons along the way.
I finally learned the importance of self-care and self-love. I learned to not doing anything that makes me unhappy if I can avoid it. I surround myself with people who motivate and inspire me to be the best person I can be. I finally have faced my fear of confrontation. I try my best to not run away from situations that are not ideal but learn how to face them in the best way possible.
I am much more independent and learn how to make important decisions. With one more year of college left, I have become more adaptable to situations and quick on my feet. I know how to evaluate situations carefully and thoroughly.
I also know when it is appropriate to treat yourself. It is super beneficial to reward yourself when you accomplish something big. This could be a cup of coffee or a new piece of clothing or really anything that makes you smile. It is super important to celebrate all the little things in life. It will allow you to have a much more positive mindset.
Most importantly, I have learned to not dwell on the past or stress about the future. Just focus on the present. I know this is harder than it seems but it is critical to do what is best for you know. I often have regrets about my past but you can’t change the past. You can only change how you deal with the past now.
