My friend and I had our last fall break adventure in Atlanta this afternoon. We focused primarily on two spots: Krog Street Market and Skyline Park with 9 mile station at Ponce City Market (see Atlanta Fall Break Part 2 for more on Ponce City Market)
Our first stop was Krog Street Market. This was a 20 minute uber ride from Emory. We explored some of the shops like The Merchant and grabbed some small bits from the vendors. I got a pork belly bao from Suzy Siu’s Bao’s and a cream cheese with fresh fruit tart from Little Tart Bakeshop. Other vendors include Jeni’s Spendid Ice Cream, Recess, and Fred’s Meats and Breads.
From Krog Street Market, we walked along the Beltline for about 20 minutes to get to Ponce City Market. We browsed some of the shops like Citizen Supply, Madewell, Alex and Ani, and Anthropologie. I got some super cute Atlanta stickers from Citizen Supply. Following this, we went to Skyline Park on the rooftop. The admission was included with our 9 mile station deposit for the reservation. While we didn’t play the games since it would have cost extra, we did get to see a fantastic view of the Atlanta skyline.
At 9 mile station, we ordered a 9 mile patty melt and the creme brûlée. I thought that the dessert was excellent but the burger was mediocre. I think that this restaurant was worth the experience but I would not go back at least not for dinner.
I am so happy that I had such an eventful fall break and got to explore more of my city.
